Plaza decks and terraces
Plaza decks are made up of a concrete structural deck, insulation, waterproofing membrane, and pavers or topping slab systems. A 60 psi insulation board is installed once the waterproofing membrane is installed. This provides a sturdy base where the pedestals and pavers can be installed. The architectural pavers are set on rubber tabs or pedestals that are available in different finishes and colors. Using insulation and pedestals reduces the weight of the system. It also provides insulation for a conditioned space below.
